Gardaí investigating the murder of Seamus Doherty in Donegal more than two years ago have made two arrests.

Mr Doherty's body was discovered at his home in Drumacanoo, Churchill on the morning of June 17, 2012. He was 67. A post mortem revealed he had suffered a traumatic death.

Yesterday evening, a 57-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Letterkenny Garda Station.

This afternoon, a 51-year-old man was also arrested.

Both are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
