Micheál Martin called Ceann Comhairle last night, FF confirms

Fianna Fáil has confirmed that a call took place last night between party leader Micheál Martin and the Ceann Comhairle, Sean Barrett.

However, a spokesman says the pair are due to speak again this morning, ahead of a crucial meeting where TDs will decide on whether to propose a motion of no confidence.
