US police are seeking two men, seen in surveillance footage, in relation to the shooting of an off-duty garda in New Orleans.

US police are seeking two men, seen in surveillance footage, in relation to the shooting of an off-duty garda in New Orleans.

Brian Hanrahan - who is from Tipperary, but based in Newcastle West Garda station - was shot twice when he was robbed while on holidays with his father earlier this week.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The New Orleans Police Department have released surveillance footage of two persons of interest and are seeking the public's help in tracing them.
