A man in his 30s will appear in court later in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman in South Dublin on Monday.

A man in his 30s will appear in court later in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman in South Dublin on Monday.

65-year-old widow, Jane Braidwood, was attacked at her home in Clarinda Park East in Dun Laoghaire.

She was pronounced dead in St. Vincent’s University Hospital a short time later.

The man was arrested at the scene and detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station.

He is due to appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court at 10.30 this morning.
