Shannon and Kilkenny get jobs boost

125 jobs have been announced today.

American Data centre and server specialist firm AMAX is creating 100 jobs at its European manufacturing facility at Western Business Park in Shannon.

The positions will be created over the next five years.

Elsewhere, 25 new jobs are being created at Irish-owned company TransferMate.

The global payments company is hiring the staff for its 24-hour call centre in Kilkenny.
