A 34-year-old man is critically ill in hospital after being hit by a car in Co Down.

A 34-year-old man is critically ill in hospital after being hit by a car in Co Down.

It happened on the Glenavy Road in Moira at around 2.40am this morning.

The road is currently closed to traffic.

The PSNI is appealing for witnesses.
