Man arrested and large amount of cash seized in Monaghan

A man in his forties has been arrested after a large amount of cash was found in Co Monaghan.

Around €300,000 and sterling was found when local gardaí and members of the Criminal Assets Bureau searched a premises near Castleblaney yesterday.

A large bulldozer, a car and a van were also seized.

The man is being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Carrickmacross Garda Station.
