No jail for man who had sex with 13-year-old girl after relationship with her mother

A man who engaged in sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl having been in a prior relationship with her mother, has had a three-year suspended sentence upheld by the Court of Appeal.

The 30-year-old man, with an address in Dublin, who cannot be identified to protect the victim's identity, pleaded guilty to 11 sample counts of sexual assault and defilement of a girl on dates between May and August 2008.
