Two bodies recovered from the River Lee in Cork
The bodies of a man and a woman have been recovered from the River Lee in Cork.
The deceased are understood to be homeless - however neither have been indentified at this time.
Gardaí, the Coast Guard and Naval Service divers were all involved in the recovery operation, which concluded at around 6pm.
A spokesperson from Anglesea Street Garda station said that the bodies had been recovered by the Port of Cork sign on Custom House Quay in the city.
