Irish emigrants reveal products they miss the most

Tayto crisps, Cadbury chocolate and Kerrygold butter are the brands Irish emigrants miss the most, according to a recent survey.

The latest ‘Diaspora Decides’ study by Checkout magazine also shows that Denny rashers and sausages are missed by those living overseas.

Barry's Tea is the tea of choice for those living abroad, followed by Lyons.

When asked what products were of a higher quality here, stout scored the highest.

“One of the things that the survey does demonstrate is the allure of the Irish breakfast,” said editor of Checkout Magazine, Stephen Wynne-Jones.

“And 49% of respondents said that they missed Barry’s Tea, a similar number said they miss Denny rashers, 48% said they miss Denny sausages.

“So in terms of an international brand, I suppose, the Irish breakfast is something that really resonates overseas.”
