Woman admits attacking two men in nightclub with heel of stiletto shoe

A woman - who assaulted two brothers with the heel of her stiletto shoe at a nightclub in Dublin - will be sentenced next January.

Zoe Thompson (aged 21) of Kilclare Drive in Tallaght pleaded guilty to two counts of assault causing harm to Aidan and Colm Brown at the Abberley Hotel, also in Tallaght on April 15, 2013.

The court heard Aidan Brown was coming off the dance floor of the 'Entourage' nightclub in the hotel when he bumped into another man who became aggressive and a row broke out.

At some point Zoe Thompson intervened and hit the victim on his forehead with the stiletto heel.

He later received seven surgical staples to his head.

His brother tried to break up the fight and was also hit from behind with the heel of the shoe. He needed to get five surgical staples to the back of his head.

Judge Desmond Hogan adjourned sentencing in order to see if Thompson is suitable for the restorative justice programme.
