Work has started on a €15.3m refurbishment programme for the cross-border Enterprise rail service.
The overhaul aims to improve the travel experience for passengers between Dublin and Belfast.
A series of timetable and service alterations came into effect on November 16 in order to allow for the work to be carried out.
