Elderly woman killed in Limerick traffic accident
An 82-year-old woman has been killed in a road accident in Limerick.
The female pedestrian waskilled when she was struck by a car as she crossed the N20 at Ballynabanouge, Croom, at around 7.15pm last night.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed for a technical examination by GardaĂ and has since re-opened.
