Woman in her 80s killed by truck in Dublin
A female pedestrian in her 80s has been killed in a crash in Dublin this morning.
The collision between a truck and the woman happened at the junction of Ranelagh Road and Chelmsford Avenue.
She was struck by a truck at the junction of Ranelagh Road and Chelmsford Close at around 10am this morning.
Her body has been taken to St Vincent's Hospital for a post mortem and Gardaí are carrying out a technical examination of the scene.
Traffic restrictions are in place as Chelmsford Close is still closed, but Ranelagh Road has been reopened.
Update: Ranelagh Road is currently open to traffic. No delays as a result of earlier collision.
