Locals shocked by shooting in 'very quiet residential area'
Locals in Bray say they are shocked by last night's gun attack.
A 39-year-old man remains in a serious condition in St Vincent's Hospital today after he was hit a number of times in the upper body.
The shots were fired through the window of a house at the Heatherwood Estate.
No arrests have been made and gardaà are appealing for witnesses.
Local Cllr John Brady says the community is shocked, as it is a very quiet residential area.
"The Heatherwood Estate, its in a large residential area just off theBoghall Road in Bray," he said.
"It's generally a very quiet area, the estate has been there for 25 or 30 years now at this stage now, so it is fairly well settled, and incidents such as this are unheard of in the area, so it has completely taken people by shock."
