Cocaine worth €378,00 seized at Dublin Airport
A man has been arrested after cocaine with an estimated street value of €378,000 was seized at Dublin Airport.
The seizure was made yesterday when officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized 5.4kgs of the drug.
The drugs were discovered when a 50-year-old Romanian national who had arrived on a flight from Abu Dhabi was stopped and searched. The drugs, 289 pellets in total, were concealed in sweets.
The man was arrested and later appeared in the Court of Criminal Appeal where Judge Anthony Halpin remanded him in custody for a week to appear in Cloverhill Court on November 14.
