Mater Hospital to carry out Ebola simulation
Healthcare workers will put their readiness for a potential Ebola outbreak in Ireland to the test today.
Dublin's Mater hospital is to stage a major incident simulation involving its National Isolation Unit.
Hospital staff, gardaÃ, ambulance and fire crews will all be involved in the operation which is due to run from midday to 5pm.
A woman admitted to the isolation unit last week tested negative for the Ebola virus, and the HSE believes the risk of the illness being brought into the country is low.
