Committee to question officials about alleged abuse of JobBridge Scheme

Officials from the Department of Social Protection will be asked to explain concerns in relation to the JobBridge Scheme today.

Allegations in relation to abuse of the scheme, especially relating to employment in the education sector, will be raised.

The Dáil's Social Protection Committee is also scrutinising the Pathways to Work Strategy today.

The initiative aims to help jobseekers return to work and also aims to ensure that as many newly created jobs as possible go to people on the Live Register.

Officials from the Department of Social Protection will give an outline of the programme and answer questions from committee members.
