SPAR to create 1,000 jobs over next two years

SPAR is to open 50 new shops across the country in a €100m investment that will lead to 1,000 new jobs.

The company's Irish operations will see the roll-out of 50 new shops by 2016.

The investment will lead to the creation of up to 1,000 new full and part-time jobs over the next two years.

It will see SPAR's existing retail network expanded across the country, as well as the refurbishment of existing retailers to be launched initially at the company's shop at the Millennium Walkway in Dublin and then rolled out across 100 outlets nationwide.
