Gardaí are investigating a single-vehicle collision in Co Meath in the early hours of this morning which has left two men in a serious condition.

Gardaí are investigating a single-vehicle collision in Co Meath in the early hours of this morning which has left two men in a serious condition.

The collision occurred at approximately 4am on the Oldcastle to Virginia Road at Fennor Upper.

A car collided with a wall. The two men in their 20s were seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital.

The road is closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the road between 3.30am and 4.15am to contact them in Kells on 046 9280820.
