Bord Gais Energy Theatre sells for €28m

The Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin has sold for €28m.

John and Bernie Gallagher, who made millions by selling the Jury's Doyle hotel group before the crash, bought the landmark theatre in the docklands, beating off stiff competition.

The Irish Times says the selling price is far short of the €80m spent on developing the site in 2010.

Nama appointed receivers to the property, formerly owned by businessman Harry Crosbie, earlier this year.
