Third food refusal protest hits asylum accommodation centre

Residents of another accommodation centre for asylum seekers have begun refusing food.

The protest at the Montague Hotel in Emo in County Laois is the third to hit direct provision centres in recent weeks. The movement began in the Athlone Accommodation Centre at the beginning of the month.
