The Government is being told it has serious questions to answer after it emerged that the former Minister for Health was told by his own civil servants that plans to abolish the HSE were “unworkable” and should be dropped.

Fianna Fáil Health Spokesperson Billy Kelleher said it suggests the coalition's health policy is now in tatters, and that it puts pressure on James Reilly's continued participation in Government.
