Today's the day: 57,000 students to get Leaving Cert results; one achieves nine A1s

Almost 57,000 people will receive their Leaving Cert results today, and one of them achieved nine A1s.

Figures from the State Examinations Commission show that the number sitting Honours maths is at its highest ever with more than 14,000 taking the paper this year - and 95% of them passed the exam.
