23-year-old man killed in Cork crash

A 23-year-old man has died following a collision in Bandon, Co Cork.

The single-car crash happened on on the R586 at Murragh, Enniskean, Bandon, at around 3.10pm when the vehicle the man was driving left the road.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem is due to take place at Cork University Hospital.

The road is closed while gardaí examine the scene and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Bandon Garda Station.
