Two die in two-car crash in Monaghan

Two men have died in a road crash in Co Monaghan.

The two-car crash happened on the N2 at Carrickmacross at about 11am this morning.

A man in his 60s and a man in his late 50s, who were the drivers and sole occupants of both cars, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The road is closed for forensic examination and diversions are in place.
