Violent disorder trial delayed by video evidence

Dublin man Freddie Thompson's trial for violent disorder has been delayed.

The 33-year-old was sent forward from the District Court last month on a charge of engaging in violent disorder along with two other men at Morrissey's Pub on Cork Street in January of last year.

Mr Thompson's defence counsel said video evidence received in disclosure was not in the right format, and could not be played.

Judge Mary Ellen Ring has granted a request to adjourn for two weeks.

Freddie Thompson will now be back in court on July 29, when he will indicate how he will plead.
