Gardaí have arrested two men for questioning in connection with reported sexual assaults on two teenage girls following the Jason Derulo concert last night.

Gardaí have arrested two men for questioning in connection with reported sexual assaults on two teenage girls following the Jason Derulo concert last night.

The two girls, understood to be aged 18 and 19, went to a nightclub in the city after the concert by the American singer at the Live in the Marquee venue near Blackrock.

It is believed the girls met a group of people who had also been at the concert and that they later contacted gardaí to say that they were sexually assaulted in a vehicle by two men.

Gardaí arrested two men in the Anglesea Street area of the city at around 4am and brought them to the Bridewell garda station for questioning.

Both men - who are in their early 30s and early 40s and not Irish - can be held for up to 24 hours before being released or charged.

Gardaí have also seized a vehicle which is due to be examined by garda technical experts.
