19-year-old due in court in Cavan with serious assault

A 19-year old-man is appearing in court in Cavan charged in connection with a serious assault.

At around 2pm yesterday a 21-year-old man was found on the roadside at Creighan on the Ballinagh Road with head injuries.

He was taken to Cavan Hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
