Dublin literary award goes to Colombian author

Colombian author Juan Gabriel Vasquez has won the International IMPAC DUBLIN Literary Award.

His book 'The Sound of Things Falling' was translated from Spanish.

The Award is organised by Dublin City Council.

The €100,000 prize is the world’s largest prize for a single novel published in English.
