Baby boy dies in tragic farm accident in Cork

An 18-month-old baby boy has been killed after being struck by a tractor in Co Cork.

The incident happened at a yard near the family's farm in Killeagh at around lunchtime today.

Paramedics were called to the scene and efforts were made to save the little boy.

A post mortem on the boy's body will be carried out later at Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí have described the incident as a tragic accident.
