Mayo shop sold winning €15m EuroMillions ticket

The latest EuroMillions winning ticket was sold in Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

The €15m winning ticket for the draw on Tuesday, April 1 - April Fool's Day - was bought at Staunton's Costcutter Express in Castlebar on the day of the draw.

The family picked up their winnings last Friday and wish to remain private.

This brings the total won by EuroMillions players in Ireland to over €639m since the game launched here in 2004.

National Lottery players who purchased tickets in Co Mayo have won over €89.5m in jackpots and top prizes. This latest winning ticket is the biggest win on a ticket sold in Co Mayo so far.
