Man arrested in Galway in €100k drug seizure

Gardaí in Galway have arrested a man in his 30s following the seizure of €100,000 worth of drugs.

The discovery was made during a planned search of a house in the Dangan area, of Tuam.

Cannabis herb and cannabis plants were found in what was described as a "sophisticated" grow house.

Other drug paraphernalia and an outboard boat engine were also seized.

The man is being questioned at Galway Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
