The director of the HSE's National Ambulance Service is to be called before Dublin city councillors over plans to take control of ambulances away from Dublin Fire Brigade by the end of next year.

Councillors have agreed to ask the head of the HSE's Ambulance Service Martin Dunne to answer questions over its intentions towards the service provided by Dublin Fire Brigade.
