Postmortem due after elderly woman dies in house fire

A postmortem is due to be carried out on the body of a 78-year-old woman who died in a house fire in Co Mayo yesterday.

The blaze broke out shortly before 2.30pm in Ballyvary, near Castlebar.

A technical examination of the area will get underway later to determine what may have caused the fire.
