A man was released without charge last night following his arrest in connection with the death of Cathal Sweeney earlier in the month.

A man was released without charge last night following his arrest in connection with the death of Cathal Sweeney earlier in the month.

Mr Sweeney, who was 62 years old and a father of three, was found dead at a flat in Terenure on Saturday, February 8.

A man in his 50s was questioned at Terenure Garda Station yesterday, but was released a short time later.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

A man, aged in his 30s, had previously been charged in connection with the death.
