Man due in court in connection with post office robbery before Christmas

A man is due in court today, charged over a post office robbery in Kilkenny just before Christmas.

A lone raider, armed with a gun entered the premises at Kilmoganny at about 5.20pm on the evening of December 23.

He threatened the cashier before demanding money and escaping on foot with a quantity of cash.

A man in his 50's is due to appear at Kilkenny District Court this morning.
