Eamon Gilmore has delivered his keynote address to the party faithful at the Labour annual conference in Killarney, saying the country can now dare to hope again for the first time since the crisis began.

Gilmore said he wants to look to the future, but understands it is difficult while the nation is still coping with the present, juggling to make ends meet, and feeling "squeezed".
