Man to appear in court tomorrow in connection with murder of woman in Kerry

A man is due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with the murder of a 53 -year-old woman in north Kerry.

The 19-year-old was arrested by gardai in Lixnaw yesterday afternoon.

He is expected to be brought before a special sitting of Killarney District Court and charged with Susan Dunne's murder.

Gardaí upgraded their inquiry into the death of Ms Dunne to a murder inquiry following a post-mortem which confirmed she died a violent death after suffering a number of injuries.
