Gardaí upgrade Kerry death to murder

Gardaí investigating the death of a woman in Kerry say they have now upgraded the case to murder.

The decision was made following the results of the post mortem examination. However, for operational reasons, Gardaí say these details will not be made public.

Susan Dunne's body was found in a bedroom of her house in Lixnaw, near Listowel, shortly before 10am yesterday.

A 19-year-old man, arrested in connection with this investigation, remains in Garda custody this afternoon.
