Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man shot in leg in Drogheda

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a shooting incident in Drogheda after a man in his 30's received gunshot injures to his leg.

The incident happened at about the Watery Hill steps, at the Donore road at around 9.30pm before the man made his way to a nearby shop where he raised the alarm.

He was taken by Ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where he is said to be in a stable condition.

The scene is being preserved while gardai carry out a technical examination.
