ESB unions to decide on industrial action

The ESB Group of Unions will meet this morning to discuss the next step in their industrial dispute with management.

Staff have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action in a row over a €1.7bn hole in the company pension scheme.

Senior management at ESB have requested a meeting with unions to discuss the issue.

Unions say they will consider this invitation at today's meeting.
