80 jobs have been secured with the acquisition of two Irish food companies.

Donworth Capital has bought Galmere Fresh Foods in Galway.

It is also purchasing Taravale Foods in Naas, Co Kildare, taking it out of examinership.

The deals represent a €3m investment over three years.
