Fianna Fáil TD deactivates Facebook account after 'MILF' page picture goes viral

Fianna Fáil TD Michael McGrath has deactivated his Facebook account after an image circulated on the internet which appeared to show him 'liking' a page called 'MILF of the Day'.

The page invites Facebook users to “Hover your mouse over the 'like' button to receive photos/videos of Sexy Mums across the World!”

The Cork South-Central TD told the Irish Examiner: “The account was either hacked or my identification was replicated. But it didn’t originate from me”, said the father of five who was first elected to the Dail in 2007.

He added “To be honest I could do without this because this is something I would have nothing to do with.”

Mr McGrath said he had been “reasonably active “ on Facebook where he has 3,500 ‘friends.’
