Members of the Halawa family say they are hopeful a decision will be announced today as to whether their 17-year-old brother Ibrahim will be released from prison in Egypt.

He was detained along with his three sisters Omaima, Somaia and Fatima during unrest in Cairo in August.

However, his three sisters, who are all in their 20's, were released on Friday.

Their sister Nusayba Halawa says a formal decision is expected later today, and that the family is hoping for good news.
