Events for road traffic victims take place to mark 'World Remembrance Day'
Events to mark 'World Remembrance Day for road traffic victims are taking place across the country today.
Over 23,400 people have died on Irish roads since records began in 1959.
While, a further 76,000 suffered serious or life changing injuries between 1977 to 2012.
The Road Safety Authority and the gardaí are urging to consider their driving behaviour as a mark of respect to those who have lost their lives on Ireland's roads.
