Post mortem due on man, 85, who drowned in Donegal

A post mortem is to be carried out today on the body of a 85-year-old man who drowned in Co Donegal last night.

It is understood the man - who has been named locally as Dan Gallagher of Killycoleman in Rathmullen - fell into the water while mooring his boat at Rathmullen Pier.

Lough Swilly Lifeboat was called to the scene at around 11pm.

The man was removed from the water but was later pronounced dead.
