Bonfires not the only threat for fire brigade units at Halloween
Out of control fires were not the thing a unit of Naas Fire Brigade had to contend with on Halloween night this year.
At around 9.30pm on the night, members of the fire service were called to the Castlefen estate in Sallins to deal with a bonfire which was reported to be out of hand.
Upon leaving the scene members of the fire service were attacked by a group of teenagers as fireworks were thrown in their vicinity.
The fire tender was also attacked.
The fire brigade did not escape unscathed either as the side window of the truck was smashed.

Gardaí attended the scene, and are investigating the incident.
A man with a family member serving in Naas Fire Brigade contacted BreakingNews following the incident and informed us that some members of the fire service also sustained minor cuts throughout the ordeal.
