Suu Kyi to visit Belfast today
Nobel peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi will meet schoolchildren today during a brief visit to Belfast.
The Burmese opposition leader will also be hosted by MLAs at Stormont.
She met the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall on a visit to Britain yesterday and her tour includes talks with political leaders including British Prime Minister David Cameron and UK Foreign Secretary William Hague.
Today the charismatic peacemaker will call on Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister junior ministers Jonathan Bell and Jennifer McCann.
The First and Deputy First Ministers are in the US on a trade mission.
She will go on to Wellington College in South Belfast to field questions from politics students from across the city.
