You have not got away with it, warns Property Tax chief

The Revenue Commissioners say they are working towards "100% compliance" with the Local Property Tax (LPT).
They have confirmed that they have already started deducting the payment from the salaries of the 10% of homeowners who failed to register.
November 7 has been set at the deadline for people who want to pay by cheque for 2014.
"We can guarantee - everybody out there who owns a residential property that they have not got away with it," said Vivienne Dempsey, who is in charge of collecting the LPT for the Revenue Commissioners.
"Again, towards the end of this year, probably around November, for those who have not filed a return, we will be sending out a notice of estimate, and what that will be saying is: 'You may have ignored us for 2013, we took this LPT from your wages, we're going to be doing the same again next year."
